Sexual Harassment
FSNT conducted a national baseline survey in 2015 on Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Higher and Tertiary Intuitions which reviewed that there was high prevalence of sexual harassment in these institutions mostly being perpetuated by male lecturers, male non academic staff and male students. It further pointed out that there was no sexual harassment policy that regulates sexual harassment in tertiary institutions prompting for the organization to embark on a massive lobbying and advocacy for the enactment of a sexual harassment law in a bid to criminalize sexual harassment. Thus far, the public service commission have since come up with sexual harassment policy for civil service. However, there is a need for a national policy which deals with sexual harassment at all level hence FNST submitted a position paper to the parliament of Zimbabwe lobbying for such.
